[Hidden-tech] Rudy on Rails

I've only dabbled a bit in Ruby on Rails myself, but so far I like it a lot.
I've read the paper on building web-based applications by 37Signals
(http://gettingreal.37signals.com/
) and I have to say that their philosophy on the approach of development
just seems to make sense. However, while I am very optimistic about the
future of Ruby, right now I think it's biggest "competitor" (I use the
quotes because, really, every language has it's place) is PHP. The libraries
and support in terms of community size are still much larger with PHP, but I
wouldn't be surprised if that started to shift soon as the RoR community
grows.
