I use a cool little freeware app called "JR Directory Printer" for this. http://www.spadixbd.com/freetools/jdirprint.htm Bronwen ______________________ Bronwen Hodgkinson bronwen at cdevision.com 413.532.6100 cdeVision, LLC 4 Open Square Way Studio 205 Holyoke MA 01040 www.cdeVision.com _____ From: hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net [mailto:hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net] On Behalf Of Videatives at aol.com Sent: Saturday, March 31, 2007 10:59 AM To: Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net Subject: [Hidden-tech] Printing a folder directory Occasionally I need to print out on paper all the file names within a folder. I would love to cut and paste the file names as a batch into a Word document or an Excel spread sheet, but I have not found a method to do so. I end up cutting and pasting the file names one by one. I use Mac OS 10.3.9. Does anyone have a tip for this function? I have done screen shots of the folder directory, but these are bitmaps and are not manipulatable. I would be curious if batch-copying the list of files in a folder can be done on either a Mac or a PC.
