Tim, Actually, Google Maps has an API for doing that. You still need to setup your own backend (saving and retrieving people's locations for example), but it will work. Google Local (http://www.google.com/local) is an example of how this works, but it is possible to do the same thing on your site without too much difficulty. There are plenty of people on this list (yours truly included) who could help you with the backend setup if you need it. -Dan -----Original Message----- From: hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net [mailto:hidden-discuss-bounces at lists.hidden-tech.net] On Behalf Of Tim Holcomb Sent: Sunday, July 30, 2006 5:14 PM To: Hidden-Tech Subject: [Hidden-tech] Help for designing Online Carpool Map ** Be a Good Dobee and help the group, you must be counted to post . ** Fill out the survey/skills inventory in the member's area. Hello all- I am working with a group of parents of Hartsbrook School to help the school and its members conserve energy. On of our initiatives is to facilitate carpool coordination. I am looking for interactive online map software that we could put on our website to help families find each other. Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance?
