You can buy a converter at Radio Shack or Staples. I've simply plugged 
in the converter, then plugged in my laptop without a problem.

There is wifi throughout Europe:

Check with your hotel regarding high-speed access. If you're staying at 
a small pensionne, probably not. If you're staying at a major business 
hotel chain, then chances are they do.

Check with your Cell Phone provider regarding your cell phone. If you 
got a phone within the last year, chances are, it will work in Europe. 
(Otherwise, might be a good excuse to get a new one. :))

I know that Cingular allows you to purchase an International cell phone 
plan for as long as you are away, then switch back to your regular plan 
when you return.
