[Hidden-tech] Question about international travel

It has been a while since I traveled internationally. And, now, I need to
stay in touch electronically while I'm overseas. So, I had a couple of quick
questions for anyone who may know:

1.	What type of electrical converter is needed for a standard laptop
computer. Is it safe to use the electrical converter for plugging in a
laptop. I really don't want a fried computer.

2.	How widespread is Wi-Fi in places like France, Spain, and Germany?
Also, do most hotels have in-room high-speed like the majority of hotels in
the U.S. now have?

3.	I'm assuming that my cellphone won't work while I'm in Europe. What
do most people do? Buy a cellphone just for international trips?
