[Hidden-tech] DVD to MS Movie?

Hi David,

DVD-ripping software can be found on download.com. Generally it comes with a free 30-day trial. New ones come out every week so check the CNet and customer ratings on download.com before selecting one. These tools are generally inexpensive to purchase as well. 

When you go to rip the DVD, you are given options as to what format you want the final video in. Feel free to get back in touch if you need help figuring out a format at that point.

Another editing program you may want to consider is Vegas by Sony. I've heard good things about it but have not used it myself. http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/vegasfamily.asp

  Hi Hidden Techies...

  Here's another tech question for the think tank to solve...

  I have DVD recordings of me speaking. I would like to be able to pull clips from it to use online. I can probably to what I need in <gasp> MS Movie Maker, but I need a way to get the video OFF the DVD into a usable format.

  Any one know how? Anyone have a suggestion for better <and cheap> video editing software?
