Job Title: Business Development Specialist Business Unit Business Development Status: Full Time Salary Range: $35,000/year plus appt. bonus Location: CS office or home Respond to: Cori Rolland <Rolland at csdg.com> JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for lead generation, pre-sales support and telemarketing for campaigns. The position can be fulfilled at a Court Square office or via telecommuting. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Significant amount of cold calling from a list of prospects that will be provided. The purpose is to set appointments for our account exectives in New England, New York and New Jersey. -Maintain the ACT! database and work with Director of Business Development on pipeline reports -Research company background information on the Internet and using Hoovers -Specialist will be required to use the Sandler System of Selling. -An appointment quota will be set with a ramp up period. Bonus dollars can be achieved by reaching the quota of 90 appts per quarter with quality appointments as well as when appointments turn into closed business. There will be requirements to come to the Springfield, MA office approximately once per month. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: -Exceptional verbal communication skills with particular emphasis on telephone skills -Abilities of persuasion and negotiation required. BD Specialist must be able to establish rapport on cold calls to learn the identify of and speak with the senior IT person at the targeted accounts -Ability to communicate effectively via e-mail and in database notations -Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business publications and press releases to support cold calling EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: -Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree with comparable experience. Degree in technology or business preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: -2 to 3 years sales or pre-sales experience in a technology company, preferably one that offered services -Demonstrated ability to generate leads that turn into sales revenue -Experience making cold calls -Proficiency in Internet searching, use of WORD and Excel -Experience with ACT!, Hoovers and Sandler Selling a definite plus
