[Hidden-tech] Network-eating phone

Here¹s a nice techie problem

I¹m so happy with my new Imac G5 and  airport extreme. It¹s beautiful,
elegant, fast and I have scads of  updated graphic software to play with.
My old computer is in another room, hooked into cable and the new  computer
gets online through the  base station and the network.

But -  I use  a portable phone with a headset so that I can talk, keyboard
and go online without crippling my neck.
I¹ve noticed that every time I use my portable (not cell) phone, I lose all
internet connection.

My  Mac technician  says that he configured the  network to keep  out
wireless devices up to 2.2 gigaherz.
What kind of a phone can I get that is portable, with preferably under 900
gigaherz?  megaherz?
I¹d rather it was lower and healthier.

Or is it possible that  there is a  non-portable phone
that  won¹t get into the network
with a headset jack?
