Might I suggest that a few look at how the IEEE Consultants' Networks do 
it. There are 19 of these, around the country. The Boston network and the 
national network (the Alliance of IEEE Consultants' Networks, or AICN) 
are two of the best.

You can search their websites for whatever type of IT, software, or 
electronic hardware type you would ever want.

Do I get business out of my affiliation? About 95% since 1995.
