Just thought I'd offer this up: I've had a lot of luck with an Iomega 120 MB external firewire with OS 10.2 and 10.3. It worked right out of the box and I swap it between my power mac and my wife's power book without any problems. It works so well I just ordered a 250 MB. Iomega's offering great rebates on these right--the 250 is only 139 after the rebate.
