[Hidden-tech] Problems with Comcast connection

Thanks Daniel, Gordon, Laura, Anne (and Les who responded privately)
for sharing your experience with Verizon DSL vs Comcast broadband.

So far my experience is not good, I ordered the service and the
delivery date has been delayed (a week at a time) for over three weeks.
Now I'm scheduled for a Jan 20 installation, but I'm not holding my
breath...or canceling my broadband.

From what I read, it seems performance is a factor of how far you are
from the CO. Does anyone know how far Montague is from a CO?

Since I have a free month to try it out, I'll probably let them install
and test it out before making a decision. I'll look for noise on the
phone line and also check the speed before keeping the service. I'll
also make a couple calls to tech support during the free month to see
how they respond to problems.

Thanks again all for your quick responses.
