How much RAM, David?

I have a mini-DisplayPort to VGA and HDMI adapter (like this

If anyone takes David's MacBook, take that too!

Sounds like a great candidate for Linux Mint to me, but if you want to 
stay with MacOS, you can install Big Sur with this patch 
<https://github.com/Ben216k/Patched-Sur>. With 16 GM RAM, I understand 
you can even run Monterey on it

It looks like you can get a replacement battery for under $75
