I have generally run my own servers, however I am advising a group who runs a museum that needs managed services - medium sized non-profit It's a wordpress with commerce - I am working to get some specifics of the internals and issues. What I know is that they have been using Hostgator and running into response issues And then their system has gone totally offline - working to determine exactly what happened. In any case, I'm looking for suggestions as to a service probably virtual server, I doubt it's very big - just that it's a organization that has been around a while (as in +200 years) and has lots of volunteer help -- and brings in more serious professionals as needed. I've been using Linode for the last few years - now owed by Akamai, they tend to be more for folks with IT support - checking into their managing offerings. Any ideas are interesting. -- Rich Roth CEO TnR Global Bio and personal blog: http://rizbang.com Building the really big sites: http://www.tnrglobal.com Small/Soho business in the PV: http://www.hidden-tech.net Places to meet for business: http://www.meetmewhere.com And for Arts and relaxation: http://TarotMuertos.com - Artistic Tarot Deck http://www.welovemuseums.com http://www.artonmytv.com/ Shakers: http://www.shakerpedia.com/ Helping move the world: http://www.earththrives.com
