Job description: Electro-Mechanical Technician, Aerospace Test Equipment Purpose Tech180 (subsidiary of NI/Emerson) is looking for a dependable Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic environment. Day to day activities will include assembly and testing of sub-assemblies and components required for use in aerospace test equipment. Will also require installation of components in test racks. On the job training will be provided. If you like problem solving, building a variety of products, and finding ways to build them more efficiently, this is the place for you. Job Duties: Assemble PCBs using surface mount and through hole components Assemble cables and harnesses Assemble test fixtures Assemble electro-mechanical sub-systems Install and cable components within a test rack Assemble the above from a combination of engineering documentation, assembly drawings, and work instructions Work independently while functioning within a team environment Adjust to frequently changing demands Maintain inventory, organization, and maintenance of company tools and job materials Ensure a clean and safe work environment Set-up and utilize a variety of test equipment Inspect incoming electrical and electronic components for compliance Test products at component, sub-assembly, and system level configurations Ability to troubleshoot to component level Ability to be certified to the latest industry electronic component assembly standards Collaborate with Operations team to achieve performance and compliance goals Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience as a technician in the industry or similar experience 2-5 years of SMD and through hole soldering experience Working knowledge of electrical circuits and schematics Detail oriented and organized Strong verbal and written communication skills Mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 50 lbs Preferred Experience: J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certified Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent training preferred 2-5 years operating reflow oven and pick and place equipment Due to ITAR restrictions, candidates must be citizens, permanent residents, or have asylum/refugee status in the United States.
