>> ChatGPT is a conversation engine, not a search engine. This is true but just means it cannot provide real time search results to you (unless you're using it from Bing). It does not mean it cannot provide links to pages it has already processed. Though I would be surprised if any of the links work (again, unless you're using Bing's ChatGPT). This is why I suggest searching on other engines. Publisher archives may be helpful too. >> It is designed to provide plausible responses based on similarity of questions and answers to existing material on the internet, without attempting to correlate its responses with actual facts. This isn't true. ChatGPT may make mistakes, but OpenAI cares about the quality of responses and designed ChatGPT with the aim of being as accurate and helpful as possible, to benefit humanity (and to make a more profitable product). It may make something up but it should not if you tell it not to, and it should be honest about how its response was generated if asked. The problem here is that the pages it has linked to unfortunately have been taken down and it may be difficult to find copies.
