[Hidden-tech] crowdfunding app for recurring donations?

Some thoughts - lots online I think you probably have seen - leading to 
confusion over all

Patreon  is what comes to mind - although that is for 'creatives' - it 
does have monthly plans

I think gofundme is the one I've seen for such personal projects as you 
talking about
It does work with a collection target.
