It sounds like you’re in good hands with home 3D printers and makerspaces
for your desk lamp repair, but if you need the next step up in 3D printing,
I run the ADDFab 3D printing facility at UMass Amherst, and we do
“industrial grade” 3D printing for prototypes, short run production, or
even medium volume production (100’s of units).  We have highly accurate
machines that print in a variety of polymers and metals.  Plus, if you’re a
small business headquartered in MA, the state provides some pretty
significant subsidies for working with UMass.  Certainly check out our
