Ok, I've been watching this discussion and it occurred that many of the suggestions use use wifi, the most common Amazon fire and Chromecast use Wifi to the big screen or to the stream. SO make sure you get a wired device, there are versions that are, I found this on a quick look: https://videostreaminginsider.com/the-best-streaming-devices-with-ethernet-port/ And as for hiding the screen -- the newest large/smart screens are also art walls with a variety of viewing options.
