[Hidden-tech] Microsoft Office headache in Windows 10

Thank you to everyone so far for your suggestions and comments.

I have downloaded LibreOffice but now I need to make sure that documents it creates
will appear as I intend when a client opens them in Word... which I obviously cannot test
myself since my Word is not working right now.

In particular, I need to make sure that when I turn on "track changes" that all the edits are
right there and visible when the other side first opens the doc or docx file that I edited. If you
need to execute any commands in order to see the changes, that is not cool.

Please email me offlist if you are willing to do this quick check for me offlist, which will take you
all of a minute.

Thanks!

My only thought would be to install LibreOffice and chuck MS Office.
LibreOffice is free and is likely to "Just Plain Work".
