web/cloud based versions.

Below a description - read section about experience with DevSecOps tools 
as nice to have not required since unrealistic to find somebody knowing 
all that jazz.

Job Description


Highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA.

Talent must have knowledge and hands-on experience in working with 
implementation and development software teams. Individual is responsible 
for maintaining and improving the performance of existing software code, 
with duties to design and update software databases under contract and 
direction from the assigned Lead Software Engineer.

*ROLE*

  * Support the Discovery and Framing process and follow-on user interviews
  * Perform agile software development framework that aims to produce
    higher quality software, and higher quality of life for the
    development team.
  * Utilize agile methodologies, including tenants of extreme
    programming and Test Driven Development (TDD) which will support
    continuous delivery to the cloud, and the production of 12-factor SW
    applications
  * Support the modification of legacy applications to become cloud native
  * Support the delivery of the application from an unclassified
    development environment to a classified staging and production
    environment on SIPR and other future domains.
  * Support troubleshooting with other teams (i.e. staging and
    production environment hosts) throughout all stages of the
    continuous delivery process

*EXPERIENCE*

  * 4 years experience in Java, Web services, Database, and/or web
    application development.
  * 2 years experience with agile and lean philosophies
  * 2 years experience with DevSecOps tools and processes to include,
    but not limited to Git, Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify and ThreadFix
  * 2 years experience with container technologies such as Docker or
    Kubernetes.
  * 2 years experience providing system administration support to a
    diverse set of Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc.)
  * Experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration
    techniques

*SKILLS*

  * Clear communication skills are required.
  * Astute ability in writing test scripts in an agile software
    development environment with an emphasis on automated test
    procedures, and continuous integration and continuous delivery of
    software.
  * Ability to perform the software tasks identified in the contract
    requirements in forming and working on Government/Contractor
    software teams.

*REQUIREMENTS*

Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
