I definitely like these two ideas, and think they might be doable in a 
way that increases usage for the spaces.  There could be a 
multi-location membership even with separately owned/managed spaces if 
they tracked usage and split the fees.

One of the things that wouldn't work well for me with most current 
spaces, as you noted, is the lack of support for phone meetings.  
Libraries and coffee shops aren't good either.
