[Hidden-tech] Gaia Host has gone AWOL; any advice?

I once had a domain held hostage by a web host. This was in the early days
of the internet, and I simply bought a new domain and set up my copy of the
site. Obviously you give up the traffic, but maybe even if GoDaddy won't
re-register the domain to the client, maybe they would put a redirect on it.
