[Hidden-tech] Gaia Host has gone AWOL; any advice?

We also have some clients that have domains or services through GaiaHost, and last contact with them was late 2018 as well. 

It is a tricky situation - the client would need to prove ownership of the domain to facilitate a transfer to a different registrar, either with access to the domain account to provide a transfer code or listed as an Admin Contact on the WHOIS record. A website at the domain with corroborating business  information would not count (as the response from GoDaddy bears out).
