[Hidden-tech] how to replace domain owner / contact when original owner / contact is no longer with us......

Is your client by any chance an entity? By that I mean, are they a
corporation? or an LLC? If so, perhaps they could vote a resolution to
change the domain contact and that might satisfy namecheap. Just a thought.
