Comcast has a free robocall blocking service that works very well. - Scott 413 210-0032 ________________________________ From: Karen Blinderman via Hidden-discuss <hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net> Sent: Tuesday, June 4, 2019 11:28 AM To: Hidden-Tech Tech Subject: Re: [Hidden-tech] Blocking robocalls on Android Thanks for helping to answer Marcia’s question – which seemed to be cell-phone specific. My challenge is the overwhelming number of robocalls and live calls to my desk phone (way more than my house phone gets or my cell phone). Yes, I still have more than just my cell phone <grin>. My desk (office) phone is tied to Vonage, if that makes a difference. I know steps are being taken to lessen the number of calls we consumers receive, but it’s just taking a very long time. And for every “stop,” these folks find a new way to bug the heck out of us. Any ideas? Caller ID does help, but enough is enough. I, too, have an android and will be looking into it. I use Mr Number, but it's hit/miss sometimes and lately some of these numbers that pop up (I don't answer the phone) don't even exist when I make attempts to call back from my work phone to see who it was. Literally, I get a recording telling me that the number is either not in service, or no longer in service.
