[Hidden-tech] Need advise on image colors for printing

I went through this last year when I had to provide digital images to my book publisher for printing. My understanding is that the print medium also needs to be known. What kind of paper? what kind of printer and system is handling the actual prints? All of these things will affect how the final images look.

I was not clear whether you were handling printing yourself or whether you were handing digital prints off to somebody to be printed.
