Hi Rich
We use a combo. Genesis themes with child themes by Dynamik and the page builder Beaver Builder. I think Genesis themes by Studiopress are very high quality.

Good luck

I'm away from my computer with this reply. And if any words are misspelled I blame it on my iPhone.

Note that themes like Divi and those that integrate Visual Composer are extremely powerful and flexible, but they do add an extra layer of functionality on top of WordPress. This means the person who is building the pages needs to learn how to use the page builder - not a big deal for the developer, but when the client wants to go in and make changes there is potential for confusion/frustration.

I recently stumbled on https://pixelgrade.com/. I've never used their themes but I like the looks of their documentation and their approach of building themes that are designed to integrate existing, established, free plugins for extra functionality.
