This isn’t very helpful for individuals reacting to the fallout, but 
in case others are interested in kicking the activism/awareness 
discussion up a level, I recommend reading [Bruce Schneier’s recent 
piece](https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2017/09/on_the_equifax_.html) 
about how broken the current scheme of incentives is for credit 
reporting.
