[Hidden-tech] domain purchase at expiration

A big client of ours has an intellectual property lawyer and general counsel whose excellence and success requires no great website or other marketing: Larry Graves, www.ipbizlaw.com.

Coincidentally yesterday we dealt with having to reclaim a client’s domain name that someone bought at GoDaddy, and no expiration emails were received, so it went to a Wild West Domains, LLC, which I believe is part of GoDaddy. I’m not the one at my firm who resolved it favorably, within a 45(?) day recapture window I believe, but my point is that if such registrars, by some wild fluke, just happen to use only for domain expiration warnings email servers with dirty IP addresses that are likely to go to spam folders or be blocked by a web host, well then someone stands to gain profit from a percentage of desperate past owners. So checking all one’s (clients’) domain expiration dates and email recipients seems one of the many things for which a recurring calendar reminder makes sense.
