Interesting story. Way back in 2008 I helped create a website called ZipRide.com, which the owner paid several hundred dollars for the domain name and several thousand for the coding. It ran for about a year with moderate success, then she sold it. The buyer let the domain name lay dormant, pointing to nothing for years, then let it expire. What a waste. Here's a sort-of snapshot from November 1, 2008, via Archive.org. Obviously the CSS isn't linking up. https://web.archive.org/web/20081101195335/http://www.zipride.com/ At the time some people complained that there was a perfectly serviceable website based in Amherst for ride sharing, and lo and behold it appears to still be up and running... http://www.ridebuzz.org/umass_rideshare_program So, there you go.
