[Hidden-tech] TAXES

I second Jan's recommendation. Same situation: home-based business (my wife
is an artist and her business is located in the home, as well). The prep
work we do for TurboTax is little more than we used to do when we had a
local tax accountant doing our taxes. So, it's about the same work as the
accountant, and much cheaper. The value grows year-after-year, assuming you
stick with TT, because when the forms open up, last year's figures are
listed in the next column, so you get an idea of what you claimed, a very
helpful feature.

TurboTax Home & Business is the one and only.

My needs are much the same and I have used it for over 25 years, with the
exception of a couple of years in the early 2000's when Intuit decided to
add an obnoxious form of copy protection to the software and lost a lot of
customers for a while. Once the company came to their senses and removed
the copy protection, everyone came back quickly because none of the
alternatives (H&R Block, etc.) were as good.
