for those of you who travel a lot outside the U.S., the Google "Project Fi"
mobile service is great for international travel.

You have to buy one of three Google phones (Nexus 6, Nexus 5x, Nexus 6p).

You then sign up with Google as your carrier.

Same data charges, same texting (unlimited) in over 120 countries. Most
countries outside the US are $0.20 per minute for calls and free for wifi
calls.

Data is metered at $10 / gB. No need to sign up for more than the $20/month
plan (i.e. base phone charge at $10/month + $10 for 1gB). There are no
overage charges. If you go over your base data level you're billed for the
increment that you use.
