Not helpful in this case, I realize, but this is precisely why I left ATT and went to Sprint (T-Mobile even better, I hear) at my last phone purchase: I am traveling in India now and I have free texting worldwide, free data (though at slow-ish speed), and $0.20/minute calling anywhere in the world. MUCH better than when it cost me $30 to get a month of texting and $1/min calls even when just going to Canada! > On Mar 27, 2016, at 3:42 AM, Rob Laporte <rob at 2disc.com> wrote: > > > > > At&t Passport one month plan $30, $1 a minute. Google voice Ap in wifi spots, 2 cents a minute. Combo has you covered cheap and quick. I almost never needed the Passport, as wireless was everywhere, but it’s good insurance. > > Best Regards, > > Rob Laporte > Founder & Managing Partner > DISC, Inc. - "Making Web Sites Make Money" > 413-584-6500 > Rob at 2disc.com <mailto:Rob at 2disc.com> > www.linkedin.com/in/2disc <http://www.linkedin.com/in/2disc> > www.2disc.com <http://www.2disc.com/> > > NOTE: Emails can be blocked by spam filters throughout the web. I'm wondering what I need to do (if anything) for him to communicate with us using his iphone/ AT&T. I think he should just be able to use FaceTime since he'll have good access to wifi most of the time. Are there any international charges I need to be aware of.... thanks for any tips you can lend... >> >> >> Regards, >> >> Tom Adams, Director/Owner >> Reelife Documentary Productions <http://www.reelifeproductions.com/> • Folktography by Tom <http://www.folktographybytom.com/> >> Producing Media that Educates, Entertains & Enlightens... since 1996 >> • Cool Media Production...Not Boring or Dumb • >> (413) 575-9707 • Williamsburg, MA >> >> >> >> _______________________________________________ >> Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net <http://www.hidden-tech.net/> >> Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net <mailto:Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net> >> >> You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. >> If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members >> page on the Hidden Tech Web site. >> http://www.hidden-tech.net/members > > _______________________________________________ > Hidden-discuss mailing list - home page: http://www.hidden-tech.net > Hidden-discuss at lists.hidden-tech.net > > You are receiving this because you are on the Hidden-Tech Discussion list. > If you would like to change your list preferences, Go to the Members > page on the Hidden Tech Web site. > http://www.hidden-tech.net/members -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
