[Hidden-tech] little rant about OSX

For cleaning up files, I use a Mac utility called “GrandPerspective” (http://grandperspectiv.sourceforge.net/) that shows files (and file sizes) in a graphical format using colored blocks. Each block’s size is scaled according the the amount of space it takes on your disk; larger blocks equal possible targets for deletion. Hovering over the blocks reveals the file path and the size of the file.

GrandPerspective can be run on a single folder or an entire disk.

Oh, and I am running the X-Plane flight simulator and Photoshop just fine on a 2011 Mac Pro with 16gb of memory and a 500gb SSD.

This may be my real problem. I have way less than that currently. I've been dumping what I can easily ID as unnecessary but it's definitely overcrowded.
