Rob brought up the issue of risk from credit card exposure. This is one among several reasons why I gave up my merchant account. I either get clients to pay me via Intuit Payment Network (50 cents a transaction no matter how many digits--great for big consulting gigs) or swipe their cards through a reader into my paypal account. Other than the 1 minute where I'm holding their card, I never handle the cc number and it doesn't show up on my receipt. And at my very low volume, it's actually cheaper than merchant processing on my own. ________________________________________________ Watch (and please share) my TEDx Talk, "Impossible is a Dare: Business for a Better World" *http://www.ted.com/tedx/events/11809 <http://www.ted.com/tedx/events/11809>* Contact me to bake in profitability while addressing hunger, poverty, war, and catastrophic climate change Twitter: @shelhorowitz * First business ever to be Green America Gold Certified * Inducted into the National Environmental Hall of Fame http://goingbeyondsustainability.com for the corporate world http://impactwithprofit.com for entrepreneurs http://greenandprofitable.com for green businesses mailto:shel at greenandprofitable.com * 413-586-2388 Award-winning, best-selling (8th) book: Guerrilla Marketing Goes Green (co-authored with Jay Conrad Levinson) Coming in April: Guerrilla Marketing to Heal the World _________________________________________________ On Wed, Feb 3, 2016 at 12:10 PM, Lynn Scharf <lynn at silverleafgeospatial.com> wrote: > > > > > Can anyone recommend a small business insurer with experience working with > software developers and entrepreneurs?
