I looked into that insurance about 10 years ago when my firm was doing a lot of web dev. It was expensive (4G+/yr) and required detailed sign-off procedures during distinct stages of each job. Web dev people should know to what extent their work on sites that process credit cards or just keep client records make the web dev firm liable for a security breach. My firm steers clear of that kind of work for a bunch or reason, a big reason being liability.
