I would probably give it a with try with tracks 3 & 4 attempting to sync from the second pass of your play back, at least for fun, if you have the time. If you can identify a sync point at he beginning and end of both sides, ansd by after adjusting one side to the other, I imagine you should be close enough for rhythmic purposes, though I haven't done this, and Rikk has. I imagine that phase shift of the audio, if there is bleed between/among tracks will probably be audible however. This could be a cool effect though- and -you never know until you try. If it doesn't work out, I'm sure Rikk can help you. I also have an Tascam 246 studio with 4-track formatting that needs it's occasional use to keep it operating, so might be willing to give it a whirl. Like I said, not the easiest way (I have done it with old 8 track reel to reel stuff, and yes, you spend a LOT of time tweaking to sync it back up). -Tim On Mon, Dec 12, 2016 at 10:56 AM Rikk Desgres <all at pinehurstpictures.com> wrote: Tim,I don't want come down on your idea, but I need to add a little caveat. Cassette is not crystal or digital locked so syncing them, while possible (I've done it) sync will constantly drift. Without a follow reference it's going to be difficult. You would have to adjust almost every beat. Rikk DesgresPinehurst Pictures & Sound On Mon, Dec 12, 2016 at 9:55 AM -0500, wrote: Michael, I have some gear in the studio that may be compatible. While I don't rent any equipment out, I may be able to help. Give me a call during business hours If you don't find a machine.
