Jonathan, I have a TEAC A-2300SD reel to reel, which in its day was a pro-sumer model, and people rave about it. Mine stopped working about a year ago and I have been planning on having it repaired. There is a company in Watertown called Audio Proz, http://www.audioproz.com/AP.php As it turns out, I will likely sell my old non-working unit to them and buy one that works, just so I don't have to wait around. It is a long drive, after all. These units go for about $500 and are guaranteed by them. They come with papers and everything. By the way, I checked out the website you liked to. It sounds like an amazing project. Hope this helps.
