[Hidden-tech] Slow Internet in Conway

Not really a helpful short term solution - esp if you've been following
the state and local battles for the last dozen or so years.

Hard to be specific without knowing an exact address

As for immediate solutions, here are some ideas, I'll let those closer
to you add more:

Easiest option is rent an office at McCluskys, in Buckland.

More tech options are:

1) From your comment it sounds like you have actually tried satellite,
I've been amazed at how well Hughes net works in areas of Ashfield not
that far from you, with lots of trees also, even in winter with snow cover,
Granted not that cheap, and has monthly band width limits.

2) make sure you are not within range for DSL, Verizon is my last
company to recommend, BUT where that is within range it's not a bad
choice, and you'd be surprised what in range means in the hills.

3) While we should be past this option, and barely worth it today, years
ago I had dual POTS lines, with nailed 56K modems for 115K connection,
takes tech and a co-operative ISP

4) For a real home brew solution some other HT's have done, is find
someone within range of one good option and of you, and setup a long
range Wifi connection or similar point to point link.

Maybe another local HTer can help.
