Ah, then it probably DOES mean "great virtue shows the Way".

(BTW, I was mistaken about my comment about simplified characters:
I was in the wrong Pinyin mode when typing. The stone said 載, not 载.
Same character, just traditional.)

I met my Chinese/Japanese wife while living in Japan: she's now a
college teacher here in the States.
