[Hidden-tech] new odd MAC Mail behavior

I have used MAC Mail for years. All of a sudden the SENT MAILBOX on the left is counting sent emails. In other words, a number appears there. This is so odd. Usually there are numbers next to DRAFTS (if there are any) and certainly there are #s next to INBOX until I zero that out, but what are the SENT numbers representing? It isn’t all my SENT mails (because it is a small# that just started the other day) so what the heck is it and how do I make it go away?
