[Hidden-tech] Job: front end developer

Hi Hidden-Techies,

We’re looking for a front-end developer who has expertise in responsive websites to work on a part-time/contract basis with us: an experienced designer and an experienced “back-end” web programmer.

Requirements include expertise with Bootstrap, CSS3 and HTML5 — knowledge about responsive images and typography, bootstrap's javascript components, LESS/SASS, optimization for mobile devices, and comfort with GIT version control.

The front-end developer will work with the designer to translate designs (in the form of Photoshop images as well as HTML models) into responsive Bootstrap markup and stylesheets. This developer will also work with the programmer to implement the markup in dynamic HTML templates. We’re using Django — Django experience is not necessary, though experience with some templating system is desirable.

We’re well into creating version 2.0 of a website — a new design and a mobile-friendly makeover. This work will extend from now into the fall. We’re thinking this may require something like 20 - 30 hours over that time span.

We have another site that’s just beginning — this work will extend over two years, amounting to a total of something like 40 to 60 hours.
