[Hidden-tech] secure digital publication paths for PC access

You/she may want to look at Adobe Digital Editions and their Digital 
Publishing tools. Digital Editions is what some libraries use to control 
copying and check-out/expiration of their eBooks. Since PDF is Adobe's 
format, I'm sure their official tools would present the option.

That said, if Amazon generates the file for you then they hopefully keep 
the process simple.

In either case, be sure to consider the time and cost of supporting the 
protected version against the likelihood of piracy.
