[Hidden-tech] Color Shifting in iPhoto

Does this shift still happen if don't do any editing at all in iPhoto? Have you done any upgrades that coincides with the onset of the change in appearance?

Is your computer a mac?

I use iPhoto only for storage of raw images. If I want to edit an image I drag it out of iPhoto and open it in photoshop. I then rename the file and store the edited version somewhere else on my system.
If your photos appear to be less bright, as you describe, is it only how they appear on screen or do the edited versions print differently from the unedited ones?Do they still look less bright on a different monitor or a laptop? Do you get different readings in the info palette from the same color section of the two files? Does the file size change at all? It sounds like some kind of a coding conflict (duh) and if it's a permanent change to the file then that's a really big problem.
My guess is that Apple and Adobe will point fingers at each other, but if you can reach someone in their tech support(s) they might have an explanation.
If you figure it out I'd love to know the answer.
	Good luck
	Lynne

I have recently noticed that when I transfer images from iPhoto into PS, that there is a shift in color….pretty much the same thing happens every time. The image become less bright and vivid. It is so odd. Anyone have any ideas? This is even before I have done anything to them in PS….just by even dragging onto my desktop sometimes makes this happen, so I think it is just a problem with iPhoto.
