I always rule the MBAir out, because i require at least a 15", but i think that's a great machine. Long battery, light weight. If you dont need the disk drive. My HDD died recently and i replaced with my first SSD and there were massive speed improvements. I also replaced my keyboard, which was only $45. Between the two, i am very happy with my 4 year old thinkpad, and am very happy that i didnt shell out for a 15" macbook pro, which was the original plan. fwiw Hailu Dyami On Tue, Feb 17, 2015 at 2:14 PM, Jan Werner <jwerner at jwdp.com> wrote: > > > > I personally have used only Lenovo ThinkPads (or ThinkCentre desktops) > for many years, because they really are built better than anything else. > But since I know how to work on them, these have all been refurbs or > bare bones systems that I then upgraded myself.
