[Hidden-tech] Computer Crossroads- Do I buy a new laptop? Change to Macbook Air? Have one Custom built?

I personally have used only Lenovo ThinkPads (or ThinkCentre desktops) 
for many years, because they really are built better than anything else. 
But since I know how to work on them, these have all been refurbs or 
bare bones systems that I then upgraded myself.  That's not necessarily 
for everyone.

Also, ThinkPads are built for a corporate environment, which means they 
focus on solid construction and don't tend to be as sleek or have the 
best multimedia features, unless you are willing to spend big bucks.

If you don't need the latest, thinnest and fastest, you can get great 
bargains on 1-3 year old ThinkPads from IBM's refurbished offerings:
