[Hidden-tech] Computer Crossroads- Do I buy a new laptop? Change to Macbook Air? Have one Custom built?

H, Izzy,

I would not want a MacBook Air as my only computer, because it has no
CD/DVD drive. I saw someone suggested a tablet/laptop hybrid. I tried using
a tablet (iPad) instead of a laptop for two years, tore my hair out in
frustration, and eventually bought a MacBook Pro. It's not that much heaver
than the Air, and a lot more capable.
