[Hidden-tech] Computer Crossroads- Do I buy a new laptop? Change to Macbook Air? Have one Custom built?

Unless it includes labor AND if the ASUS zenbook's hard drive is deeply
embedded in the machine (eg, you have to fully disassemble the whole laptop in
order to replace the hard drive). Yes, $500 is a really exorbinate quote to
replace a laptop drive. And $300 to restore the data from the old one seems a
bit high too. Unless there is much more wrong with the ASUS zenbook than the
failing hard drive.
