[Hidden-tech] Computer Crossroads- Do I buy a new laptop? Change to Macbook Air? Have one Custom built?

Four quick comments:

1. The new Dell XPS 13 is being considered the new standard for PC laptops.
2. MacBook Air is generally less expensive than the competition if you're
truly comparing "apples to apples" in terms of hard drive, processor. Look
at the Apple refurbished store. Great deals, fully backed by warranty.
3. I personally favor Thinkpads but they're more expensive than Apples.
4. Make sure you get a so-called fourth generation Intel (Haswell)
processor. Dramatic improvement in battery life for all laptops (Apple and
others). Fifth gen processors are coming out now.

Whether you have to learn Windows 8 or Mac OS, you'll have a learning curve.
