[Hidden-tech] Anyone have experience with crowdsource funding?

I have no personal experience but I know people who have tried it. To be 
successful it requires a LOT of work, preparation, organization, 
diligence, and especially, continual promotion and follow-through. 
Valley Venture Mentors <http://valleyventurementors.org> might benefit 
you, if going to Springfield MA a couple of times a month for a few 
months is a possibility.
